The draft IICRC S590 Standard for Assessing HVAC Systems Following a Water, Fire, or Mold Damaged Event is available now for public review. Download the draft Standard and submit your comments online from December 23, 2022, to February 06, 2023 here.

As part of the ANSI 45-day public review period all comments must be submitted using the online comment form no later than February 06, 2023. Incomplete comments may not be responded to.

The IICRC S590 Standard contains procedures to perform HVAC assessments and create a written report and Remediation Work Plan (RWP) of work for residential, commercial, institutional, and healthcare buildings. The document lists methods and procedures to determine visual deposition and odor retention.
