IICRC S250 Standard for Resilient Floor Coverings

This Standard describes the procedures to be followed when performing professional cleaning and maintenance of commercial resilient flooring. It is the purpose of this Standard to define the methodology to be used by professional floor care providers for inspection of resilient flooring for the purposes of identifying and applying appropriate cleaning and maintenance processes. Further, this Standard describes methods to be used for cleaning and maintenance of common commercial resilient flooring materials.

The S250 Needs Volunteers!

The IICRC is seeking volunteers from the following stakeholder categories: flooring manufacturers, chemistry manufacturers, maintenance equipment manufacturers, commercial maintenance service providers, professional maintenance technicians, flooring inspectors, sales and support professionals, architectural specifiers, building managers, distributors, and end users.

ANSI/IICRC Standards are voluntary consensus based standards that are accepted as the standard of care in the industry. Those who participate have a vote on the Standard and can influence what is included and what is not. Participation gives you a voice in the development of the Standard.

A note about BSR

BSR is the ANSI Board of Standards Review that reviews and approves Standards as American National Standards. All new Standards under development are designated as BSR/IICRC till such time that they receive final approval from ANSI and can be published.
